    Hi there,

I have bought Laney RB2 30W amp yesthurday for my house amp, and noticed it can use external speaker. I was thinking of making some cabinets already and this was good reason to start. After reading manual I have noticed that Laney guys recomend using their 250W cabinet as external speaker, or minimum 80W. And at least 4ohm impedance cabinet.

I`m confused, they do not offer any info on output characteristics (power, impedance), and I think 80W is much more like optimum and not minimum for 30W amp, even if it`s 30W 8ohm into 4ohm speaker it would be 60W power.
How tiny 30W amp can possibly drive 4x10" 250W cab?

    Any oppinions?
