Howdy. I'm making a 22.5"-scale six-string lap steel guitar, and I was wondering if anybody here knew the most common string spacings at the nut and bridge. If you've got one, especially one of those shiny Rics, could ya make some measurements for me?

    Thanks!

The people there will answer with better things...maybe.

I'm thinking 3/4" at the bridge, and maybe 1/16-1/8 at the nut, but I don't really know.

    Have fun!

    I ... don't ... know ... ? :D

Those numbers seem hella off, though. Pictures show very little difference between the spacing at the bridge and spacing at the nut, but plans from MIMF.com show a tiny one. I am just too poor (read cheap) to buy the plans.

    Thanks for the guessin' though!

    Anybody else?
