    Hello,

In the Goldfinger cover of 99 Red Balloons, in the pre-chorus, the big open E hit sounds like, for lack of better terms, a laser gun. Is that reproducible on a bass? I have a Helix LT, and I've played around with the various filters, but I can't even come close. I'm assuming in the real track it's computer generated, but can I get most of the way there on a bass with the right combination of effects? Like a filter + a huge reverb + something else + I don't know?

    Thanks!

  2. It is two filters and a distortion in between with the filters combing past each other there may also be a pitch shifter or octaver in there too if they are triggering it from bass but it could also be a synthesizer or in the box creation. You ought to be able to get close with the Helix LT and i may try to do something on the SA C4 cuz that is a phunn sound. The synth sounds at the end are very wicked too. .
