Saw Springsteen in Washington DC a couple weeks ago. Was never really a fan (not a hater either, he just never "clicked" for me), and as a result, had never seen him nor desired to do so. That said, my wife is a big fan (and has seen him a couple times BITD), and some seats were released a few days before the show. So I thought "what the hell", and I scored great seats (for a stadium) at a reasonable price, using Ticketmaster's "demand based pricing" against them.

Anyway.....I finally "get it". The show was simply amazing, and gave me an opportunity to listen to and take in an amazing body of work. I have liked any number of his songs over the years, but never listened to an album, never really picked up on any throughline that ran through his material. The concert gave me that opportunity and I now consider myself a fan. I have listened to a bunch of his albums since, and listened to this one several times, including today. He did quite a few from this album, and little did I know that this album contained so many of his tunes that I liked. The title track was a particularly powerful moment in a show that had so many. Sorry to be rambling......but the show (3 hours) really made an impact on me, which I didn't anticipate at all.

A great record for sure. The most acoustic one they did, and a great background to basting the goose on a frosty Christmas morning!

This is another great Christmas album -

Yep, Drive The Cold Winter Away. A friend gave me a cassette dub of it. That Albion Band album is my all time favorite Christmas album and on the top 3 of my favorite Albion Band albums. Took me years to find a copy, it was never released in the US.

Arguably one of the greatest rock bands of the eighties that never met with bigger success, Lone Justice are a heartland rock inspired band whose excellent debut came out in 1985, and features music mogul Jimmy Iovine as the album's producer. Singer Maria McKee has an angelic delivery, as showcased on Ways To Be Wicked and Sweet Sweet Baby I'm Falling, and she's an excellent singer and guitarist too. She also sang the song Show Me Heaven for the soundtrack of the Tom Cruise movie Days Of Thunder, and also sang on the Counting Crows' 1993 debut August And Everything After. (Bassist Marvin Etzioni also collaborated at one point with the Counting Crows.)
