I've decided to get two new cabinets from Dr. Bass cabs (www.drbasscabs.com). My head is an Eden WT-400. I will be purchasing two cabinets with RMS rating of 500 W each, both 8 Ohms (hence a 4 Ohm total load, which is the max the WT-400 can take). I am wondering if perhaps the power of the amp will not be enough for these cabs. Will this be a problem? the WT puts out about 230 W each into two cabs at 8 Ohms. Can an amp that only puts out 230 W power a 500 W cab reasonably well? or, will my head run into problems from overheating? Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.
