    SOLD - MUST SEE RickenFaker - Fireglo - Vintage - Neck-thru - Stereo - NICE! | TalkBass.com

I purchased this lawsuit Ric from Quadzilla about a month ago. It had some issues with it that I had my tech fix, and now it plays great and sounds like a Ric should. I'm just not into the Ric sound in my bands like I thought I would be. I would like to trade this for something that is more of my sound.

I was going to keep it around, because I thought I would never come across a bass like this at the price, but if I'm not a Ric guy, I'm not a Ric guy. I got an incredible deal on the bass, but if I'm not going to play it, it should go to someone that will.

Here are the issues that my tech fixed:
    • Leveled, crowned, and polished the frets. The ones that were there had some wear on them, and the last fret job wasn't up to my standards. The bass plays great now.
    • The bridge pickup could not be lowered anymore, and was so high that it was making contact with the strings. We got longer screws and strings, and it can now be adjusted to a level that sounds good, and doesn't contact the strings.
    • There was a burr on the saddle of the E string. Someone must have wanted to make a bigger slot in the saddle, and didn't do the job properly. We cleaned that up.
It was worth putting all of the money that I did to get this bass playing great. Someone will really enjoy it.

Here are the trades I'm interested in. Some of them may need to have cash added on your end.Bonus points for Olympic White and Rosewood.

    100w+ Tube Amps
    Ampeg V4B.
    Ampeg SVT

Guild Starfire. I'm interested in pretty much all hollow body basses.
    Epiphone Rivoli
    Tokai Lawsuit Jazz
    Fender Jazz Bass

    Sunn bass heads / Cabinet
    Ampeg bass heads
    Orange bass heads

Will ship in a tweed HSC.

These pictures are from Quadzilla, and do not show the new fret work. The frets look way better now.

Hey, Monster Truck. I don't have anything in my Inbox from you. I'm not sure why. Try to send it again, and let me know.

Where was the Geddy made? USA, Mexi, or Japanese?

"Lawsuit" is typically used in the time-frame where Japanese companies were churning out exact copies of instruments made in other countries. Many people (including myself) believe that the Japanese made copies were of better quality than the stuff made in the USA or elsewhere.

I have over $900 into this bass.

Just checked out the neck dimensions on the Geddy and I think it's a bit too thin front to back for my liking. Still thinking about it. Could you PM me a couple of pictures?

It's a great bass. As an FYI, addictions made me aware of the couple of issues and we agreed to a partial refund (minor like fret level, setup, etc). Don't want anyone to think I left him hangin :) . Anyway, again, she's a wonderful bass. Free bump!! :)
