here it is.......
one piece swamp ash body
all macassar neck
personally I would have diffirent knobs on it.. but it looks good
How does it balance? Looks neckdivey.
No problem at all. as a matter of fact, after it's all put together, will weigh right around 7lbs 13oz.
USACG made that neck for me with wood that I supplied, and the tuners are Hipshot ultralites.
Then in that case, I think I'm in love!
thats a pretty unusual neck... I like it.
Yeah, I'm not sure if I like the knobs myself yet. Might just go with black, maybe with abalone inlay to match the neck?
yeah that might be pretty sharp
Thats " purdy" Love the color. I have a fretless macasar fingerboard on my Lecompte VB5, love it. I really think those knobs throw off the color. A cool blue stained wood knob/s would look cool, or just go with chrome. Cant wait to see it when its done. Good luck!!
Very nice. Being the traditionalist I am, I'd prefer a chrome bridge and knobs. Gorgeous fretboard.
Yes! The wood knobs look funny to me.
new knobs have been ordered
I like it alot! Is that the Warmoth four string Gecko body shape or one of your own?
As much as i would like to say it's one of my own, you have answered the question I have been waiting for someone to ask: what body shape is that?
That is the Gecko 4 string aka the G4 since it is slightly different from the Gecko. The neck is all macassar made for me to my dimensions by USACG. What a fine job they. I supplied the wood.
Looks great (especially the neck) but I really don't like the body shape.
i really like that neck!
Great color combo John !
definately put those inlays on the knobs...that'd be insanely cool.
I don't know...
frankly I'd put some pickups in there myself, but you know. Different strokes for different folks.
('tis shiny, me likey)
I love that fretboard. The G4 body reminds me of an Ibanez SR.
What are you gonna do for electronics?
