Here it is again, my 1991 "German Batch Prototype" Warwick Dolphin Pro II, in Transparent Brown. Good condition with a couple minor nicks (pics provided if serious). Some years ago, Gary Willis gave it a setup, which included the removal of the mass of metal under the bridge to lessen the angle of the string on the saddle. Plays much smoother. I'm attaching the spec sheet.
The Dolphin Pro II is an amazing bass. I own one and it's my main 4 string. It's nice and light and super versatile. I'd love to own another one of these...or three.
A selling Angle to Dolphin Pro I owners. 1991 was the last year of the Pewter hardware, and it will SWAP out with your Gold Hardware. Then you can Flip the Pro II with "Upgraded" Gold Hardware... I LOVE my 91 LOLphin BTW...
Sorry TB'ers, but I've recently come across some info from Warwick, which identifies this bass as one of the German made Dolphin's. I'm not familiar with the story, but this was one of the small batch made in Germany, prior to the Japanese Dolphin Pro II's. Warwick did not purchase/sell them, they were then sold 'backdoor' by the maker, and then a lawsuit ensued. Wow. So, in the end, it is not a "Warwick". Bummer. (I love it none the less) I'll close this post for now, until I decide what I'm going to do with it.
Well, I've decided I still don't play it enough, even with the history it has. Come get it before I change my mind.
