  1. Does anyone own or have any experience with these basses? Anton Davidyants plays one and it sounds great.
Also does anyone know what the wait time is?

I always hankered after the Pangton, after seeing and hearing one up close in the early '90s. Thanks for the reminder.

I have a Herr Schwarz 4. Extremely well build. Electronics are superb. What I like most is the feel. The bass felt very "alive". I had to wait 3 months for that one in 2013.

Dan at Luthiers Access Group carries that brand and usually has a few in stock. Le Fay is one of the reasons I could never truly be gas-free. :)

Le Fay is definitely on my wish list. A five string Herr Schwarz in....well...schwarz would do nicely. The Remington Steele fretless is also right up there.

  7. Zombie thread back to life.
I had a Carlsson fretless with steel fretboard for many years, sold it last year because I hardly played it and couldn't justify keeping it as a piece of furniture. Used it in the studio a few years ago and it sounded fantastic!
Le Fay quality is, IMO, probably as good as it gets - close to insanely good.
Have tested several Herr Schwarz 5-string basses (WOW!) and although I consider myself almost GAS-free in terms of basses, there will-will-will-will be a Herr Schwarz in my life sooner or later. Not cheap, but worth every penny in my book.

Edit: verb - noun - grammar - damn
