I've subscribed to their catalogs for a while just as kind of "tool porn" but did not know they had begun offering luthier tools, thanks.

There are a number of us who have been bugging Lee Valley for years to bring in luthiery tools. Then a friend's son who makes guitars got a management position in LV and he started pushing as well. Now it has happened.

I actually found out about them from watching Dave's World Of Fun Stuff. He seems to like them a lot...

And now I can afford to buy a fret crowning file without selling a guitar to buy one!

I thought Lee Valley was a Canadian thing only. But yeah, most Canucks know Lee Valley as the only place to get luthier supplies. My local one has a couple guitars in a display case to show what you can do. I do not have the heart to tell them that the guitars they have on display are pretty poorly setup (which makes me think they only look like guitars.)

We know about LV from their woodworking tools and hardware they sell.

Sorry, you can't have them all to yourselves! :smug:

I used to read the catalogs for my tool porn needs, but rarely bought anything, so they dumped me. Time to renew my "subscription". $37 for a fret crowning file still seems $$$ to me, but I'm a cheap bastard.
