howdy, i have a problem with my left hand (as in the one with the bow) you see when i play it often craps up after a very short amount of time (like 5min). My question is, is this normal, or is bad technique causing this? i am not sure if it would be technique because it seems right to me.

    thanks for your help

  2. What does your teacher say about your bow hold? Sounds like you might be gripping it too tight.

I tell my students that they should hold their bows loose enough so that I could snatch it out of their hand with little effort (and I sometimes do, just to keep them on their toes).

Also, is your thumb bent out or caved in? I find that keeping it bent gives more endurance and better articulation.
