Left Handed Neck?

    Just out of curiosity, can you put a left handed neck on a right handed bass to achieve a reverse headstock without any real negative effects on your tone? Or is this completely impossible?

    ::EDIT:: Obviously reverse the nut as well.

    Yes.

    Loads of people did it, and loads more still do.

    Tim Commerford used to have a Lefty neck on one of his fenders and tuned it BEAD.

    Yeah I have what I call my Jimi Jazz 62 RI neck on a Geddy body ...


    It's off at my techs right now getting marker dots on the neck

    the 63 neck is a good one to use with the reverse tuners which tune normally upside down



    :) ... Looks really cool and works great!
