    SOLD!!!

    $800 SHIPPED LOWER 48

50th Anniversary Edition sticker on the headstock.

    Ser# U037427

It was updated with Fender "Custom Shop 60's Jazz Bass" p'ups and the control cavity has been shielded with foil tape. Electronics, wire and jacks were updated with hi-quality replacements including the BIG switchcraft pots. I still have all the stock electronics, and they will be included with the sale. The original neckplate was completely blank and has been replaced with a Fender logo neckplate.

It will also come with an official lefty Fender Custom Shop GG&G hard case. It's the black case with orange interior and the silver Fender logo on the side. The case is in perfect condition.

There is only ONE thing "wrong" with this bass. The previous owner tried to adjust the truss rod without taking the neck off first and damaged the finish and the wood underneath. I had this repaired... the wood was smoothed out, creating enough room for adjustments, and now it looks MUCH better than it did before.

The only other things are three or so very minor dings in the finish... other than that, the bass is MINT. Zero fret wear, BONE STRAIGHT neck, and overall high-grade Japanese craftmanship for the price. This bass has never left my house... I have hardly ever played it and have never taken it to a gig.

I'm asking $850 shipped (lower 48) for the whole package... case, old & new electronics, and bass. I'm willing to ship overseas, however I will ONLY ship UPS. It's spendy, but, for overseas shipping, it's the best way to track and insure a valuble package.

Cash/check/PayPal accepted... no trades. I need to cover the expense of a recent purchase.

I have no feedback here yet... but, I am an active member (mostly in the Roscoe forum) and post a lot over at leftybassist.com as well.

TB member Gravesbass can also vouch for me... he's a super cool guy and puts up with my crap, so I'm hoping he will anyway. :D

Let me know if you have any questions!!!

That is one great bass. If I were a left hand player, that would be mine!

Here are some sound bites of the bass I whipped up really fast if anyone is interested...

This is TOTALLY dry... no eq or compressors or anything on the bass. The only thing I used to color tone was the tone knob and the pickup volumes.

It's running directly into my M-Audio Fast Track Ultra, and was recorded with Reaper.

Click on each link below to play, or right click to save...

    Bridge 100%, Neck 100%, Tone 100%, Fingers

    Bridge 100%, Neck 20%, Tone 50%, Fingers

    Bridge 100%, Neck 100%, Tone 100%, Slap & Pop

    Bridge 20%, Neck 100%, Tone 100%, Slap & Pop

Anyway, I wish I could have spent a little more time on it, but, yeah... that should give you a pretty decent idea of how good those 60's Custm Shop P'ups sound.

Let me know if you have any questions... and enjoy!!!

You'll make it through the day
See things another way and behold

    Listen to Wednesday's song
This night you go home alone
    How the sane go upright
    How you look another night

    Throw me tomorrow
Now that I've really got a chance
    Throw me tomorrow
    Everything's falling into place
    Throw me tomorrow
Seeing my past to let it go
    Throw me tomorrow
Only for you I don't regret
    That I was Thursday's child
