Lefty basses: trussrod reversed?

    About to be making my first adjustments to my bass's trussrod.

    Thing is though, it's a lefty bass. Will the direction I need to turn the trussrod screw to tighten/loosen the rod be the reverse of right handed models?

    This may well be a dumb question, but a search didn't turn up anything handy..

  2. No, the threads of the truss rod are still the same.
    You will turn the nut clockwise to tighten and anti-clockwise to loosen, the same as any other standard nut/screw arrangement.

    Remember that tightening the rod straightens the neck and loosening allows the neck to relax.

    Please read up on all of the other adjustment threads. Never adjust more than about 1/4 turn or smaller at a time.
