Legends of TB?

Discussion in 'Off Topic [BG]' started by Kwesi, Feb 25, 2008.

  1. I'm a fairly new member to TB. I joined a few months back and since then I've have seen posts and references to TBers who have earned i guess "Legend-status" I can really remember any names but who are these guys and what did they do that was so ridiculously awesome that everyone knows about them but me?

You cannot just "learn" about the legends in this way. You can only hope that some day you will be touched by a legend. incredible.

  4. Legends are. There is no way to know who they are, they just are.

  5. If they touch you in a way that you feel is unappropriate, you should tell someone immediately. Legend or not, this kind of touching isn't acceptable and it is not your fault. TB isn't the heavy petting zoo.

Well Munji is a super hyper elite member, with over 15,000 posts. He got his status based on raw sarcasm and disregard for others. I wouldn't try to ask him anything though, he ignores anyone with less than 1000 posts.

Trust me, legendary status is nothing to be proud of.

Just look at bc. He's been denying his legendary status for over 2 years now.

  10. bctq's last post shoots HOLES in his denial.

I'll go ahead and be a self-proclaimed legend.
After all, the chat (And the lack of post counts) are essentially my doing (or my fault)

And thus you expose yourself for the spindly-armed non-legend that you are.

i'd say Mark Wilson is semi-legendary round here.. Seriously, everyone knows Mark Wilson.

I'd say that currently the talkbass legends are:

    MakiSupaStar
    ...

    ...

    ...

and that's about it. Everyone always talks about tQ, NTB, and others, but I'm pretty sure (after reading old legend threads) that Maki trumps em' all.

oh, I forgot the dynamic duo: Louieeadg and Stedtale. Where have those guys been lately? OT hasn't been the same without them.

  17. Well for those of you who are new to talkbass I am one of the legends and those who arn't new to talk bass don't ruin this for me

  18. Perhaps the true legends of TB have all outgrown us/been banned for being too legendary...

I think you have to be banned or be MIA to be a legend.
