http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070622...rk_accident;_ylt=AhiuL9PUz.bVcVft8B3c5LwEtbAF Man this sucks! Something like this always goes through my head when i go to six flags, but i never thought it actualy happens. I enjoyed that ride too.
That's really awful. I hope they can figure out what exactly happened. One more reason for me to hate amusement parks.
Damn, bears -- Livin' inside amusement park rides, eatin' the feet offa little kids... Wait! What am I saying?!? The bears were there before Six Flags! It's their right to live in the ride! And, the kid was stupid for thinking she'd be safe in "bear country"! Damn amusement park bears! Quick! Find Winnie the Pooh! He needs to be killed -- NOW! EDIT: Nobody's safe, I tell ya!!!!! {}
How in the hell did she get her feet cut off? Isn't that the ride where your feet are dangling? If the ride go straight up and down, there's nothing to hit. If it was the force of the ride going up that ripped her feet off, then that is one sick kid.
No, some sort of cable came loose and cut her feet off. Freaking horrible, they say she was just sitting there perfectly quiet afterwards totally in shock. I really hate this sh*t
bad thing, presumabley good person. who would have thunk it. well i'm sure as hell never gonna get my wife on any amusement rides now.
I hope they can put them back on! Small consolation but she deserves 54 million way more than the tool who lost his pants.
+1 on that. I'd love to see the forensic engineering reports that come out on this accident. IMHO, cable breakage in a situation like this is unacceptable; it suggests some serious deficiencies in inspection, maintenance, design, and/or contruction.
