les claypool running-show solo

    can anyone point me in the right direction on how les does it? and where on the fretboard? what does he do other than slapping and popping. i got the harmonics part down, yet i still want to know just a little of the other parts of his solo. if you can't tell me what hes doing, than can you tell me how to create a solo like that?

    im not sure if its an actual song, but if you check out the primus site, and click videos, theres this one solo he does, not included in a song. it might be awakening though.

    What do you mean where on the fret board? Its a video. Unless I saw the wrong one. Is it one of the smaller squares on the right of the music videos?

    Thats odd, it took me no more than 2 minutes to find it.

    FYI when Les plays that he plays it with his band "Les Claypool and the Holy Mackerel" not Primus.

    Back during the Brown/Rhinoplasty era of touring Les used to go into The Awakening during Tommy the Cat a lot.

    On the enhanced version of Rhynoplasty they have a live version of Tommy The Cat in which Les goes into that solo.
