Les Paul Jr Dc tribute Coil split issue

    Hey guys. having an issue with a guitar. It’s a Gibson les Paul DC tribute bass, and has a push pull to coil split. When in the down position (both coils) it sounds out of phase with itself (weak and quacky) but when split, sounds full and as it should. Everything in the cavity looks normal, wondering if it’s an issue with either the pickup or the pot. Anyone else experience this issue?

    If it sounds out of phase it's probably out of phase. Reverse one set of wires and see if it gets better.

    as in swap a hot and a ground or swap the hot wires?

    To reverse phase you swap the positive and negative.
