i've recently become interested in les paul basses, especially the standard with the tb plus pickups and 3 way selector switch. however no store around me stocks any kind of les pauls. i was wondering if anyone had ever played any les paul bass, but especially the standard, and what they thought of them. thanks

I have played a five string standard. It was all right but nothing spectacular. It wasn't very comfortable and the B string was just OK. I will never trust a Gibson bass. I know many others are very happy with theirs but they just aren't for me.

I think they are ugly but, i played a 5 string and really liked it. I am considering buying this bass. If you go to www.lowdownsound.com and look in their used its their. This is an all bass store its pretty cool.

I've always wanted to try one out, but none of the stores I've been to has ever had one.

Here's a picture of a 12 string LP style bass though, and I think it looks faaaaaaantastic!

  7. Agreed. Who makes that particular one?
