For all you Herbie Hancock fans-

    He uses/re-purposes the harmony from 4 bars in "Dolphin Dance" @0:33 - 0:41 over the G pedal - (Gmaj7, G7 9 13 sus, G7 9 13 #11, Cmi6/9 over G), in a later composition from the 1976 LP Secrets -

    "Gentle Thoughts", @ 0:19 - 1:12 ( 4 bar vamp):
    ( over a G pedal - Gmaj7, G7 9 13 no sus, G7 9 13 #11, Cmi6/9 over G).

    Dolphin Dance-

    Both Beautiful...
    Thanks.
