There have been a couple of threads like this. They have lots and lots of pics in them, but I always like to add mine when I get a chance.

Wow. I no longer own this bass, but it was mine for a long time, and check out the color as compared to yours:

Thats cool man. I haven't ever seen another stingray like mine. Even though I enjoy the color, I always get the impression I am alone :D
The white pu cover adds alot too.

Here is my '78 ray. It may be bad karma, but I am considering getting rid of it.

Jean Lançon-i think i've said this a few times as a general statement; I think that the Honeyburst Rays and the Cherry Sunburst looks remarkably similar. Here's mine [cherry sunburst, maple board]-it's a pic from the RiverFront Jazz and Blues Festival earlier this year. It's a bitmap picture so i'm not sure how well it will work.

    That's all

edit: pic is too big, i'll try to resize it later.

    Tobias4,

I have been having vintage passive bass urges lately, I have mainly been playing my Wal in both my bands and I miss having a neck pickup.

Maybe I just need to play it more ?

I know I've been getting like that. I love my Sterlings but sometimes I doubt how much I like them....

Which I can't do because I can't spend any more on basses at the moment...for a while...a loooooooooong while :)

Last sunday I traded the bass on the left (SR5) for the bass on the right (MIA Jazz Bass with EMGs) the Ray was a great bass but I don't miss it at all :bassist:

I sold this Honey-burst Ray a few months ago, I guess the Rays aren't for me, oh yeah, I got the Jazz from RSmith, he's a great guy to deal with

In fact, mine was a little less reddish and a little more brownish than it appears on the screen (at least on my computer). It looks very red, but in fact it wasn't that much.

    Cheers
