  7. Here is my Sadowsky Vintage 5 That I recently Got :D

A short groove I just made up, so don't mock me ;) please... I am really sensitive :D

And I hope no one is discouraged from buying a Sadowsky now, after hearing my playing...
    Bear in mind!!
It's not the bass! it's me! The Bass is Awesome, but I can't say the same about my playing :)

note: directly into my Mackie 1604VLZ PRO mixer, everything set flat, a little bass and treble boost on my Sadowsky.
recorded with Cakewalk, some drum loop I downloaded on the net...

Well, I just started a thread to let interested or curious parties hear my Hofner and then I saw this thread.

So I might as well post it here too, eh?

I'd post some of my seven-string but my mp3s are all about 2.6mbs or over. Anyone know a completely free place to post them?

The bass is a Modulus Quantum 6 with EMGs, grenadilla fingerboard, and walnut top. It has Thomastik flats except for the low B, which is an Elixir Polyweb. I recorded it through my Demeter preamp, with the treble down a little, into the computer's sound card.

SMASH set up a "radio station" on mp3.com for this purpose. Click the link in my sig.

Personally, I think that the sound of the solo bass is not very important. A good solo bass sound is rarely a good bass sound in the context of an actual musical situation. By the same token, a great "band" bass sound rarely sounds especially extraordinary when soloed.

    With that in mind.....

Here's me playing my Peavey Dyna-Bass 5 in 1997 with my band GUM:

Here's my homemade P-Bass with GUM:

    Here it is again:

Here's me playing my Dean Edge 5 with my brother Andrew Hamm in 2000 (Uforia, you and Embellisher will especially like these songs ;)):

Here are some samples from a CD that my church band just did (self-produced, for the congregation). This is my Fender JP-90, which I no longer have, except for "More Love, More Power", which is my Franken-P with an EMG-P. Ignore the ads, I have no control over them.

I'm not singing on this one - we have an elegant sufficiency of singers, not to say a superfluity.
