2+5+1+20+12+5+19=64 19+20+15+14+5+19=92 if we’re going by golf orientation, Beatles win. But I’d rather walk along a path comprised of stones than a path comprised of either beetles, volkswagens, or beatles. For me, stones win, rolling or not.
Dave Clark Five vs Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich? I'd have said DC5 hands down until I saw this:
Think it was Billy Squier who said there are two types of classic rockers: those who say the Beatles are everything, and those who are lying. lol Anyway, great as the Stones have been they still have not had anything like the impact across all genres the Beatles have had. Even back then, the Beatles were everywhere. Count Basie did a whole album of jazz covers of their material in 1966, well before so many of their greatest melodies even came into being. Brazil66 covered them, putting out a great reimagining of (among other items) Fool On The Hill in 1968. Just two examples among literally thousands. Jagger-Richards-Jones? Yeah. But Lennon-McCartney / Harrison? OH YEAH, OH YEAH!
