I have to say that I can't think of a more cheerful and humorous person on this Website than Mike Jewels.

Mike is one of the reasons Talk Bass is such a great soundboard for all kinds of topics. And Mike, you've helped me realize that I shouldn't take life too seriously!

    Thanks Mike!

For a second there, I thought you were talking about the guy who was originally thought to be the Olympic Park bomber.:D

    In any event--Woot for Mike.

Still one of my very favorite posters. Always there to wish someone a happy birthday, and always gives some funny 'you can do it on your own' relationship advice.

Actually, he's never given me any unsolicited relationship advice......come to think of it, he never wished me a happy birthday this year either.

    j/k :D

  15. Having both read Mr. Jewels' exceptionally intelligent & humorous posts, AND having had the honor of drinking far too many beers with him one evening at Le Bar Bat in Manhattan, I must concur 100%:

Mike is a very class act.

Wish I could get up that way more often to hang with him, and all the other supa-cool Noo Yawkas.

He must be a good guy. A year ago, I asked my dad why he spent so much time on Talkbass talking to a bunch of strangers. He said he had friends here. I asked him to name some.. He replied, "Michael Jewels".

Mr. Jewels sent a MIM fretless bass to my dad for the Bass for Kids project. He's definitely a good guy.
