Here is my SG-Z
And my Les Paul LPB-3 5 String
I never cared for Les Paul basses but dig that 5er!!
My Explorer with Hybrid Slinkies.........
What? no "Victory" basses out there!
Give them time, they will come!! Nice Explorer!!
67 EBO (currently a piccolo)
Cool!! I used to have a '69 EB-0 with the slotted headstock. I liked the bass, but couldn't get used to the short neck.
this thread is going to hurt my brain, i'm a lefty and wish nothing more than gibson made lefties....
Knifemaker, what's the nut width and neck width around the 20th fret? I've never been able to play one of those in person.
According to my dial caliper........
1.660 at the nut
2.330 at the 20th fret.
It will play at a very low string height without any buzz. There's even some string wear on the pups! I like the action just a bit higher. The neck is awesome and the pups are growly. I love it
How in gods name am I the first T-Bird on here???!!!
I love the explorer shape. I am more partial to the Jackson Kelly. My only gripe is that they are so unbalanced. Neck just nosedives. Couldn't the strapbutton be drilled in a different place to fix this?
I used to own a Ripper. It was a pretty nice bass. Anyone have one of those?
I LOOOOOVE the Explorer shape on a bass.
The Gibson SG-Z is the only SG bass I wholeheartedly approve of.
The Double Cut Les Paul bass is beautiful. I'd love to own one. To bad they're over 1000$.
two very nice basses you got there! i think the sg-z is one of the coolest looking basses around and i have been looking for one forever with no luck. lemme know if you decided to part with it or know of another one for sale somewhere.... rock on!
I'm attaching a picture of my USA Schecter Tempest cause it's modeled after the Gibson EB and I haven't been able to find an SG-Z.. so there!
I love my Gibson!
