I recently ran across a demo of a Fender Boxer bass from the 80's with a P/P configuration on YT. Long story short, my GAS has flared pretty hard again lol...
I've looked for the Boxer Bass online, but they seem to be pretty rare. Especially the P/P version.

I'd imagine they must be pretty rare, in general, but I'd like to see some more P/P basses. Preferably basses that weren't necessarily modified to accommodate 2 P pickups, but that come assembled that way. But even modified ones are welcome. If you have em, show em!
And even if you don't have one but know of models like this, post those too.

There aren't many, unfortunately. It is a pretty neat configuration. It's one of those things where I'd normally say, just buy a warmoth body, but their online tool won't let you configure a body with double Ps (though I wonder if for an upcharge they would if you called). A competent luthier could easily do the routing as well.

There are a few pickups out there that are sort of like Ps in a soapbar size, but because of geometry, they aren't quite the right dimensions.

They're buried under soapbar covers but these are EMG Ps.

EDIT: I'm guessing it was easier/cheaper for EMG to use existing covers rather than make P covers in 5 string width.

Realized I never posted these pics from when I worked at Brubaker Guitars. This 70's P bass came into the shop a few years ago... I saw better cutting in "127 Hours".

Kept the neck original, new top, new burst finish, polished up the hardware, new controls, ready to go.

Nice. What made you decide to use the soapbar covers? Is it easier to play that way, or was it totally for aesthetics?

Somethin about double P basses screams "I'm comin to F*** S*** UP!" to me lol. Not only in the way they sound, but the look of 2 split coils = POWER :rage:

Double EMG Ps just happened to be the standard pickup configuration for Modulus Q5s in 1993, when I ordered it.

MY BAEB5 has custom Basscultures pickups that are large coil reverse P under the cover. Great pickups, very versatile bass.
