Lets see some figured swamp ash!

    If you have any examples of figured swamp ash please share. It doesn't seem all that common around here. I probably have seen a total of 3 examples of swamp ash having a distinguishing figure to it. Just saw this online tonight. I beg forgiveness and your pardon in advance as the wood is displayed on a G#it@r body :p

    I have no examples to give, but that thing is very pretty. I played a warmoth explorer bass one time that looked EXACTLY like that. Same finish and everything.
     
  3. Figured ash and figured mahogany are something I'd love to have. Rare as hen's teeth.

    I remember years ago Ritter was using some Swamp Ash that had gorgeous figure to it. The few basses I saw has figured maple tops so the backside of the bass had a delightful surprise of figure on the usually plain reverse.
