Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by Freaky Fender, Sep 21, 2002.

  1. i figure we havn't had one of these in a while, and we can decide who has the bigger chain. ImNotGeddyLee or Bigfeet :)eek: ). i will post a pic of it soon, but for now you have to visualize it :p

    Bass-Boss Harmonic enhacer/distortion-Big Jam Chorus-Arion Flanger-Q tron-DOD Supra Distortion-Boss Phase Shifter-DOD Digital Delay-amp

If figure if/when i get a whammy pedal, it will go after the Harmonic enhancer.

    The frozen north

    Electric + upright -> LS-2 -> TU-2 -> MultiComp -> OctaBass -> BassIQ -> amp in

Efx send -> MultiDrive -> UniChorus -> SansAmp -> Efx return + PA

The MultiComp and MultiDrive are on most of the time, the others very seldom.
The SansAmp is on for electric bass, but off for the upright.

Most of the floor pedals are off most of the time!

    In Order, from floor . . .

    SignalFlex A/B Box
Boss NS-2 (w/ next 4 pedals in the loop)
    Trace Elliot SM7 EQ
Boss PS-3 (clean + octave up)
    Boss SYB-3
Boss HR-2 (clean + octave down)

    to rack . . .

Akai Hexacomp (yes it's made for the floor but it's exactly 3 rack spaces wide so you can wedge it!)
    Tubeworks Blue Tube Preamp
    BBE Maximizer

    to amp . . .
  8. I only have three effects... so I'mNotGeddyLee wins, actually I think Madsubwoofer is the king gearhead. True if I had the money I'd own a ton of effects, but for now I'll use what I have.

EH Q-tron+ (Set up for low drones) with EH BMS in loop> Line 6 Delay which was given to me and I barely ever use... it's fun on guitar though.

I would like to start building my own effects, but I can't do that yet. :p
  9. ok, excuse me if they're a little out of order. I may not have much as INGL or Mad Subwoofer, or any of you guys, but i'm looking to expand.. and buy a freaking pedal board! :D. And yes, i did run out of cords, so sue me.

The entirety of my effects chain:

Though I honestly intend to spend some money sometime in the future on 4 or 5 effects pedals (synth, envelope filter, distortion, delay, chorus/flang, ect.)

i've been on a big 'simplify my rig' kick lately. right now i'm running my MIJ 1975 RI Jazz bass with fralin pickups into:

    Functional but all I need.
    Boss: ODB3 OC2 and CE2B
  13. ok here we are so far:
    Moogerfooger low pass filter
    TU-2 Tuner
Fulltone BassDriver (may replace with Dredgetone soon)
    Dunlop Crybaby 105Q Wah
Boss ODB-3 (replacing with different fuzz soon)
    Boss Flanger
    Boss Bass Chorus
    Phase 90
Ibanez Craptacular Delay (works occasionally... will replace with Akai headrush very soon)

i am also looking for some sort of good pitchshifter/harmoniser but i cant shell out 400 bucks for an original whammy right now.

    Madsub definetly has me beat

just pretend the basses arent there and squint at the pedals...

    *dunlop 105q wah
*boss cheap tuner (does the job!)
    *Ehx mini q-tron
*boss ge-7 eq- set to oppose eq setting on head and make the 'eq curve' flat (used with p-bass)
*danelectro pastrami overdrive (use with guitar, rarely. to be replaced shortly with sansamp bass driver
    *boss ns-2 noise surpressor
    *boss LMB-3 (amazing pedal)

  18. just getting OT for sec. does the Akia and/or the RC-20 have multilayered looping? or is there no such thing?

The RC-20 has over-dubbing/layering, but I think you mean something more along the lines of the repeater. You can save multiple loops, but you can't make a loop, then make a new loop (seperate from the old) while the old is playing, -then take one loop away. You'd be stuck with the new part on top of the old part.
  20. i'm not sure i understand your answer BH. sorry :(. But what i want to do is start off with a main loop, then have another loop with chords on it as well as the main loop still playing. sorry if i'm not making sense, but is that what the AKAI and the Boss do?
