Ok, I'm going to be investing in a good amp soon (more than likely a Mo' Bass), and will probably go ahead and splurge for some good rack equipment while I'm at it (tuner, wireless, etc.)
With this in mind, I turn to all of y'all. Show some pics of your systems.
And feeling confident that the pic of the blue-footed boobies will come up, I say
    SHOW ME YOUR RACK! :D

Thanks! I knew it had been done fairly recently, but every search I did for it, that thread wouldn't show up.

well, from the top, we have a korg dtr-1. the tuner of champions :D. i can even tune the low F# with this thing.

next up is a patch bay, just to plug in multiple instruments.

under that, we have the axon ax100sb synth brain/sound module. this accepts the 13 pin input from my rmc-equipped basses and provides synth sounds, as well as enables midi connection to other synth brains. good unit, tracks very well, even with very low notes like low b or lower. it's not instantaneous that low, but it is pretty quick.

next, we have a rack tray with 2 units on it, the roland jv-1010 synth module, for more sounds for my bass synth, and the boss se70 multi-effects unit - good effects, and a very cool vocoder.

marshall jmp-1 midi controlled tube preamp. it's a guitar unit that has awesome distortion for bass, and it's midi switchable, so i can control the settings via foot pedal.

next we have the aguilar db680. w00t! :D

sound sculpture midi controllable 16x16 router/mixer is next. very groovy unit to be sure.

beneat that, that's a kawai k5000, an updated version of the very cool k5 additive synthesis brain. this one has additive synthesis, and it can super-impose samples on top of the additive synth. i use it for foot pedals and some bass synth stuff.

last up is a digitech studio vocalist that i use for funky/sound effect vocals. i'll probably be replacing this with a tc electronic helicon asap.

on the bottom part of the rack (it's an angled rack) i have a power conditioner and a lockable rack drawer
