oy! that was like...*counts on fingers*...3 years ago

I think it was a little over $1300 at a Garland, TX shop that starts
    with a an "S" ;). I remember there was like a 2 or 3 month wait.

I went with the "S" shop over the other Garland shop ("LM" )
not only because of a better deal, but because of that obnoxious
    sales-twit at LM .

The B-15R is a really great amp. It has all the vintage vibe of the originals plus better range and dyanimcs. It handles active basses and low B's with ease. I picked up this one in mint condition with a custom padded cover for $750. I consider that a steal.

this is the vintage of the first amp I owned. I got it in 1980ish and ditched it way too cheaply in 1995 or so.

then after my 4003 and biamp rig got swiped at a gig in 1989 I picked one of these up for $100 (I liked it alot... replaced it with my last rig of an AMP head and 2 BagEnd cabs)

I'm shopping for an Ashdown combo now (but the pignose tube combo looks interesting)

  12. Lo-Z, where do you find your stuff?!?! all i find is crap in rhode island!!

I found it in New Haven, Connnecticut at GGuitars. I went there to try out a bass. Chris, the owner, rolled this into the amp room while I was there. I thought it was new. He said he just took it on a trade. He hadn't even tried it. So I tested it. I walked, (rolled), out with a new bass and amp. This thing rocks.
  17. Here's the best one yet: :D

I almost did that with my home made 2-15 except I would have mounted my Hartke head in it instead of a seperate pre and power amp.

  20. Yep, I'm lucky that it just sits in one place for a church gig. It's heavy as lead. 50 tube Watts through some Altec Lansing 421A's in a partitioned and sealed cabinet is perfect for a low volume gig.
