People always appreciate your bass lines at show

Playing bass will get you noticed at shows

    Bassists are douchebags

Bassists are just failed guitarists (though this is sometimes true in some bands, it is not always true)

  2. Thank you very much.

pklima and I will be here all week.

(I really couldn't decide if it was the "wet signal" thing or the reason people prefer stainless steel strings that put it over the top, and, yes, the "G'dae" bit cracked me up too) :D

The bass player HAS TO stand in front of the lead guitar extension cab...

  5. The numbers on your volume/tone knobs are ratings of quality, the higher the number the better you will sound.

    Make your own guitar

Asians and Africans are naturally better musicians.

The true test of a musician is Mustang Sally.

  6. A jazz bass may only be used for jazz. It cannot be used for rock or country.
No "pointy" bass may be used for anything except metal.

America DOES have talent, it's just not displayed on that show.

The more music theory you learn the closest you get to sounding mechanical and lifeless. That's why you never hear of pianists picking up a bass guitar, they all sound like TR-808 drum machines playing bass samples.
Classically trained musicians are the worst offenders, generally having a level of dynamic richness comparable to an alarm clock.

    "Bass" is actually pronounced "guitar".

  13. This is quite close. We, in the NW, prefer to leave our instruments outside. This is how we created the "Seattle Sound". Contrary to popular belief, Hendricks did not invent this idea.

Hendricks is the correct way to spell Hendrix's name.
    Trust us western WA folk.

  15. This is why there is such a close relationship between the "Seattle Sound," and the "San Francisco Sound": it's the humidity providing that Wet Signal. Fog provides the wettest signal of all ( I know, you'd think it would be the bathtub soak, but that is normally done in drier areas, so it just doesn't last).

  18. Pickguards are called pickguards because the original 1927 Fender Electrocaster pickguard resembled the leather sheaths 19th century railroad workers carried their picks in.

Bass guitars are named after the fish they resemble.
