I heard this on the Sirius Radio Fusion program a couple of Sundays ago, and I cannot get this song out of my mind!

These guys are some of my favorites out there right now. All very well versed musicians in a large variety of genres, all players at their peak. And having met most of the guys in this band on more than one occasion, very humble down to earth quality human beings.

First time I saw them in 2009, they opened with the opening track from the same album you posted "Blast Off" and Ive been hooked ever since.

Their bassist is probably the best Rocco Prestia mimic I have ever heard.

A TBer engineered their Fly album, which I have, and is awesome. Don't remember the TBer's name, though. @Whousedtoplay, maybe?

Dude...we had the pleasure of opening for Lettuce a few years ago. They're monsters and super chill guys. This one's always been my favourite:

This group is one of my favorites. Started listening to them from my love of Soul Live when Eric Krasno and Neil Evans were part of this group.

Adam Deitch is also a beast! Another bassist and band that I dig in that vein is Jonathan Maron in Groove Collective.

That's my fav cd by them. My youngest daughter would steal it from my desk so she could jam Makin' My Way Back Home since she was 10. Such a groovy band.

Lettuce is one of the few "newer generation" funk-inspired bands that I can get into.

I was just listening to this band in my back yard. Loves me some Lettuce!

This is really derivative or inspired by the playing on this old track from Jeff Beck:
