    Hi everyone,
I'm planning to make me build my next bass, it will be a tenor 5 strings singlecut :D
Surfing on the net I found:

    - Hipshot Ultralite
    - Gotoh Res-o-Lite
    - Shaller Light

But I had problems findin' comparative prices and weight.

    Which is the lightest?
    and the most affordable?

If someone can indicate to me another "light" brand is welcome;)

Of course, going headless would remove the most weight from that end of the bass. :D

You might try a search in the Luthier's Corner, as I believe I remember seeing a post for comparative tuner weights.

    Mr M: U R the MAN!!!

I guess I'll buy the hipshot, the gotoh are a little lighter but I want a D-Tuner too, not considering that the Gotoh are more expensive...

Now A couple of shot of the wood I bought for "the graduation bass", my own gift for my degree in Political Sciences:D

the flamed ash (frassino in italian) will be my body and the maple the top....

For Dharmabass: wish I had a headless, my luthier hate it!!!:meh:

I have GB350's, and they're extremely light, and they keep their tune forever. Gotoh makes the best stuff IMO.

  7. Salve Dodo. You're welcome! I'm happy if it was helpful.

BTW Greg, where did you buy GB350's? from allparts.com? I found them there, but there is no info on color, it seems they are offering only in chrome (at least the picture shows that color). I'm interested in black ones...
