Strings! Clearing out some bins. #1. Rotosound RS885LD. *****SOLD*****Black Nylon Tapewound 5-string gauges .65 .85 .100 .115 .135. 2 years old, They were on my Modulus fretless for about 6 months. Cut for 3+2 headstock, the G string will not reach a 5-in-line Headstock. I believe these are the McCartney set, and it does make any bass sound more like a Hofner. Never been on a fretted bass, just experimented on various fretless 5's and Stingrays. IMO try are superior to the Labella Nylons. They run ~$42 new, asking $33 shipped...these get better with age! #2. Fender 9120 Black Nylon Tapewounds .58 .72 .92 .110 4-string set. Also experimented on various basses, very lightly used. Definitely thumpers! Cut for a short G (sorry!), will for on any 2+2 or 3+1 headstock. Seems kinda hard to find in stock. Average $22 new. Asking $16 shipped. #3. GHS L3075 Brite Flats. 4-string set groundwound set gauges are .45 .56 .77 .98. Pretty balanced feeling. Smoother than rounds, but sound and sustain like rounds! I had these on my fretless Stingray for about 2 weeks, BUT CUT THE G LONG ENOUGH TO REACH A 4-IN-LINE HEADSTOCK. I suspect that over time they will mellow out. Try run ~$24 new, asking $18 shipped. That's all for now. If you want more than one set make me an offer.
