Came across a new model on the Hot Wire site:

    http://www.hotwire-bass.com/web-frames/frame-set-e.htm

    click on Dann Glenn Bass.

Dann's site seems to be undergoing an overhaul.

His comments about the new HW Fretless, make me wonder if he's working with Modulus anymore.

Really sorry to see that he left the talkbass community. He and i shared a bit prior to his joining...mostly about Lightwaves and bass design.

    Whatta guy!!!

I agree with the ULTRALIGHTWEIGHT ash concept. Joe Zon loaned me a Lightwave Sonus while mine was being built. Plain ol' 4 string, lightweight ash body.

That think BARKED like crazy!!!!!!!!! LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!

i love my 5er...but, occassionally long for that 4.

    someday...

I looked in the Dann Glenn forum and I can't find it. I guess he erased it.
Maybe Brad or Phil will be able to fil you in a little better.

To make a very long story very short, he said that Phil Smith and Brad Johnson are *******.

hmmmm...most likely due to strong personalities.

nothing wrong with a bit of low end intensity.

for the record, i'm in love with Brad.

ok, ok, i just want to marry him and get his Elrick fretless in the settlement.

    xxoo

  6. Yes, it was sanitized nicely.

Let's just leave it at that.

BTW, Fred. As far as the Modulus thing, there was never actually going to be a "Dan Glenn signature model" Modulus. He did and probably still does, endorse their basses, entitling him to the usual artists' discount. But the whole "signature model" thing was actually just a bass they made for him with the Lightwave pickup system.

The company called Hotwire basses does make and sell a Dan Glenn signature bass.
