  4. Those Zon Lightwaves sure do seem nice. I'd like to try one, but I don't think that'd be a good idea since I can't afford one anyway!

Besides, for the price of one of those I could probably get an F Bass and some Aguilar cabs! :D

    mmmmmm

  7. Well yeah, the F Bass would have to be fretted though...

actually- with some of the v bass models , you can capture that magnetic sound that is missing ( in my humble opinion) in the lightwave- for example- the booty and growl of a musicman model and the pure clarity of the LW-

gotta a pic of your lightwave, Floody?

  10. I just checked the lightwave page and on their s2b motherboard there is a Mag Em option - switches optic gain from flat to approximate the response of magnetic pickups

    dang it f!
    yer hurting me here.
Just when I was satisfied with my F thru the Aggies, somebody has to go touting "LW, LW, we all scream for LW!"

I'd sure like to wrangle one of those.
You'll just have to attend BSIV, I guess...

  13. fhodshon, I see you are using the standard v-bass pickup with the lightwaves. Isn't it possible to use the lightwave pickups as midi pickup?

  14. I already played the Ritter Raptor with the lightwave pickup! And as a fretless it sounded amazing! Never heard such a great fretless tone before!

But I don't know if it's the best pickup for slap -o- maniacs, because it reacts a little slower on the tone!

Have a look here Ritter Raptor !
