I use it to add some character to the front end of my Traynor DB200 combo. Actuallly I just plug into the effects return unless I need more volume, then into the padded input with everthing set flat. I just use the first 3 patches. One based on the Eden Traveler, two based on the Portaflex, and three based on the SVT. I have not really delved into the effects much. The rest of the presets are pretty over the top save for one synth patch I can find some use for. It's a nice unit at a nice price and works for my application. Kudos!

I love it as well. I did the LowDown series and the POD guys were working on Floor POD and they decided to do a Bass Floor POD and came to me with the idea of putting the LowDown modeling in it (we remodeled when we made the LowDowns). I loved the idea. I wanted to call it the LowDown Floor POD so guys would know it was born from there. We compromised and put the LowDown logo on it.

Question, how is the form factor for you? Do you use the Vol/Wah? Do you wish it was more of a DI box like the BDDI type thing?

Re the EQ on the bass Floor POD: it's only 2 band--how does the bass EQ work???

I assume that as you turn it clockwise it boosts higher bass frequences, as there is not low mid or hi mid EQ???

No, it is 4-band. Bass and Treble controls are dual controls. Normal use are bass and treble but if you push save and turn bass or treble and they become low mid and hi mid.

I've been using Line 6 Lowdown stuff live and in the studio for a year, and the SVT sound is spot on!!!

I would love to hear clips if you have them.

I have a couple buddies who love LowDown and do fly dates with the Bass Floor POD. Matt Nelson or Nelson fame and Jimmy Anton with Johnny Lang. I am sure there are many others.

    Hey Rich,

I'm starting to think about the bass floor pod, and after reading this thread it's starting to make sense...

But recently my bass head box was stolen, which had my svt-3pro, rackmount tuner, BDDI in it. So now I'm using my old backup hartke head, and instead of buying all that stuff over again, the Bass Floor Pod seems like a reasonable stand in.

My question is I'm used to the BDDI, are the presets on the BFP something that I can adjust like a line 6 guitar head, or are they more permanent and I pick the closest on like a zoom 505? And with the three stomps, can they be assigned to specific tones, or are they more like toggle switches?

    Thanks for the help.
    Alex

First let me say, I feel your pain. I had my rack stolen from my garage a few years back with my limited addition numbered one of the first 250 SVT-II Pros in it. Plus my JBL/Urie compressor. :(

The Bass Floor POD is completely adjustable. You can even do Lo and Hi mids by pressing and holding a button and turning the bass and treble knobs.

If you ran the Bass Floor POD into the power amp in on the Hartke I think you would love it.
