Very pretty. Needs a neck realignment.

Or the bridge is misaligned. I'd love to expect better from Fender, but no, I really don't, not any more.

Black anodized guard is a nice touch, but this bass is in need of tort reform.

  7. I wonder if Fender will sell those black anodized guards? Wouldn't mind having one for my road worn P.

No - it's the neck. I can tell from the photo. Probably got bumped in shipping.

I'd be more interested in painted Fender body's with Roasted necks. A Seafoam P bass with a roasted neck....

I picked up one of these last week. Sweetwater does a pretty good job of capturing the actual color of them. Body wood is open grain similar to the Sandblasted series that came out several years ago. The body has a very thin satin finish on it. Aesthetically, I can't say it does much for me but hot damn does it sound good. Mine has a three piece body. Fender did an excellent job matching up the pieces. You have to look very closely to see the seams.

Here are two very quick shots of it:

Yeah, I saw that too. Also that one probably has threaded saddles. I've seen some that Fender shipped all wacky where the strings were sitting on the saddles all wrong.

Ok, I'm curious. Is the skunk stripe for the real deal or is it like a lot of Squire basses and just there for the looks. I have a '78 Jazz, so I know what it should look like.

It is the real deal. Here is a pic of the truss screw. The board is definitely not capped.

Cool finish but the term "roasted" in conjunction with musical instruments, just sounds wrong...

How does the finish on the neck feel? I love those 1.75" P necks and that finish looks like it would play so nice (don't like nitro on necks). I REALLY wanna play/hear one of these.
