Ok. ive had this thing on my amp forever. and for safetys sake, i always left it on. i turn it off, and nothing seems diffrent. all the change i see is that when i press the "Limiter" button, a green light flashes, and then the peak light flases when i crank it to hard. Is that a limter? a flashing light? i realized that i took for granted what a limter really does, and i have an IDEA. but someone explain it in detail. Please?

A limiter as you have described simply sets the maximum signal level that goes into the power amp. It is pre-set by the maker and is activated by the button. It shouldn't change your sound. It is doing what it is supposed to do.

It is helpful in that it can help prevent your amp from clipping.
