Yes, and he can play unison lines with Mike Stern, too.

I don't recall him doing anything with Dave Weckl though I could be wrong!

Primitive Passions(1996) with Dave Valentin and Robbie Ameen is one of my favorite CD's.

I saw Lincoln Goines and Dave Weckl live with Mike Stern @ Leverkusen Jazztage 98 - great gig.

Too bad they were followed by Allan Holdsworth and Dave Carpenter (forgot drummer's name) who kicked their asses - bad! :p

  12. I caught Lincoln Goines with Mike Stern and Dennis Chambers a few years back at the Bottom Line in NYC. Great show and great player.

LG played with great tone, time, and groove. He made it look so easy.

I've been on a big Mike Stern kick... need to pay some respects to Lincoln. Right now I'm thinking I need to give up playing!!!

it ain't right that a man both play and sound THAT good :bassist:

JMX: I'm listening to Piazza Stazione, Tesserete - Lugano Estival Jazz Switzerland. 4 july 1998 right now. Mike & Lincoln with Richie Morales on drums and Bob Malach on Saxophone.

I'm still picking my jaw off the floor from Lincoln's solo in "One Liners"

That was going to be my question as well.

James, being in NJ have you had a chance to go check out Mike Stern at the 55 Bar in NYC? Saw Mike Stern with Mike Pope one night. Amazing. They took a 12 bar blues and turned it and stretched in every direction.
