Linda Oh

    Young Malaysian born, Australian raised bassist who was recently profiled on NPR.
    She has her own website: http://lindaohmusic.com/. Don't know much about her yet, but the clips I've heard are absolutely stunning. I haven't seen her mentioned on TB to date. Check her out!

    i saw her play with fabian almazan (i think?) at the vanguard a year or so ago.

    she absolutely rocked it. one of the best jazz players i've seen... and i frequent the NYC jazz clubs pretty damn often.. atleast 2-3 times a month..

    She's featured on Dave Douglas' 2012 release Be Still, which made Stereophile and Slate's 'Top 10 jazz releases' list this year (both sites feature writer / reviewer Fred Kaplan).

    Chuck Sher publishes my book, WALKING BASSICS:The Fundamentals of Jazz Bass Playing.
    She was also there recently with Joe Lovano, I think that you can stream that performance (one night anyway) from the NPR website. Yup.
