I have a pod pro, and I run it thru the power amp section of my amp, I'm actually looking for a real power amp to rig in my SKB ...

    I'll say it depents !

With a power amp, as you can see, you can have up to 2000 watts !! it depents what you need..

The pod is very versatile ...

But in front of an ampeg svt pro 4 ...

This was an easy one for me. I have been using a POD Pro for about a year with a head unit. To be honest I really would rather use a power amp instead of the head unit for more of a transparent sound and like what was said previously...more power. It's my overall opinion that the Bass POD is more of a recording tool than live unit. I pretty much use only a couple of the presets. I really like it all around but to be totally honest many, many people on TB don't care for them. To each his/her own.
