Just a quick question for you more-knowledgeable folks... what do you prefer, and why? I'm totally modding a custom jazz I have, and I'm sticking in a tone pot, but don't know which to choose. I know how each one works, but I wanted to get some general impressions. I know I can always just buy one of each and see for myself, but I thought I'd poll you guys first. Thanks!

Either works, most people use audio taper. I know I do. I like the way it feels, it's consistent to most other basses.

I prefer the linear taper, the changes seem more evenly spaced over the turn of the tone control that way.
