I don't know if Danelectro make separate guitar and bass pickups. At any rate, these are pickguard mount lipstick tube pickups. [DEL]So they would fit in a strat, which means they'd also fit in a musicmaster or a bronco![/DEL] Apparently these are longer than a normal strat pickup. So they are better suited for custom installations or someone willing to do a little modding.

I have [DEL]three[/DEL] two of them, unused but no packaing. Purchased from danguitars.com

I will sell them for $35 each or 2 for $65

Shipped in the CONUS. Pics later if there's interest.

For the record, lipstick pickups for guitars were identical to those for basses.

    Thanks JimmyM.

I'm starting to wonder what these would sound like in my Hofner 500/4, the original pups are already long gone and there is a set of those Gretsch Junior Jet mini hums in there.

I think I want one. What is the resistance?

I'll get that for you Brendan, but it will take me a day or so to get down to my shop where my multimeter is. Dano pickups are generally pretty low resistance, which I like because you can always remove highs with the tone control. Adding them back, not so much.

Ok, so the pickups all read in the low 7k range.

    7.02k
    7.06k
    7.09k

As far as era, I guess they are new era? I ordered them from danguitars.com about 6 months ago.

Got it today. It's longer than the bronco slot, but I'll be having a new pg made anyway. Hopefully I don't have to route anything.

Looks like a little route will be necessary. I think gfs is the one that makes the ones that fit with no mods, but apparently they suck.

crud, I'm sorry Brendan! I hope it works out and is worth it for you.

I bought these from danguitars.com as "Strat Mount" pickups, but never had a chance to use them, and it seems like that label is more than a little mis-leading.

I'll take one. I'm not exactly sure that I'll put it in the faux-51 but I wouldn't mind having on in my stash.
MP me with payment details. I'm signing off in a few minutes but we'll work it out tomorrow.
