Live Audio Visualizations

Hey Guys,

I'd like to run a audio visualization program (like Milkdrop) off of the line-in on a laptop. The band could then project these images behind us and have some visualizations that directly correspond to the music were playing. It would theoretically even die down between songs.

I was wondering if anyone had experience with this kind of set up and could offer advice. Thanks!
