The Mariinsky Orch and Valery Gergiev will finish their Prokofiev cycle on April 24/25 at 17h Central European, 11am ET, 8amPT. The first show will feature Symphony No. 4 and Piano Concerto No. 4. It is announced at the end that Leif Segerstam indeed gives the bass section a bow. However, you might be bothered a little by the change at the very end of the piece...added timpani notes and bass drum roll....
