I didn't want to post this but getting e-mails and people asking after shows and clinics about some video performance's that I have floating around I decided to post this link.it's from The Detroit Bass Fest(Oct.24 04) http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=jauqo&btnG=Search+Video and to answer your ? Low End Punch The rig I used was an Ashdown.which is my main rig Here's more info on the various Ashdown rigs I personaly use. http://www.ashdownmusic.co.uk/artists/detail.asp?ID=50
Wow, that's osme serious playing, Jauqo. And you do it on a regularly tuned 4-string! Do you usually sit when you play on gigs or was that just for the clinic?
I know that type of playing is not for everyone,so I thank you guys for the compliments.I consider myself an overall sincerly versatile bassist and for me,every aspect of Bass playing has it's moment,I love to groove(thats my first and main concern)but if I take/have to take a solo(I have been nicely threaten by band leaders to take a solo during performances)I try to be myself.Steve(burk48237)when you saw me in Detroit playing with Bill Clements,my role was to give him support(as a Bass player)even though he wanted me to stretch a little more,I gave the tunes a little more support to allow him to shine as cliche as that may sound but that was an example of a bass player being a Bass player.some people felt a little cheated when they heard my Debut CD expecting similiar playing like what is on the video,I could have done that type of recording but I chose to do an entire recording that was all about the groove. But I would like to say, that there are so many CD's floating around in me that will be revealed in time.
