Has anyone used a 2 space shallow rack to mount a LMII? The SKB I'm looking at has 10.4" depth (w/o the covers). The LMII has a published depth of 10.1". I would rather go with the shallow for smaller size if possible. I know I will need the rack ears. Here is the one I'm interested in. Has anyone used this? Will the close fit interfere with cord/cables? http://www.skbcases.com/music/produ...space_units-2-80&id=122&o=&offset=1&c=80&s=80
Are you sure you want to rack the LMII? If works so great in a bag, and since it's not really 2-space high, the racking looks a little funny (not that it's a big deal, just saying!). If you really want to use a rack, I always recommend the SA450. It's basically the same amp as the LMII in a more rack friendly format (true 2 space). It fits in the standard SKB 2 space rack beautifully (it feels empty and there is plenty of room for your cables and extension cord, versus the shallow rack with the LMII), and since it comes with rack ears, the price difference between the SA450 and the LMII after you buy the rack ears isn't that much. And, to make up for the slightly larger rack and size, you get semi-parametric mids and a more fully featured DI. Bonus!
