I bought this Jazz Bass body off a fellow TB'er here:

I loved the color but also the fact that it was very lightweight - the original ad placed the body alone at
4lbs. As shown now, it sits on the postal scale at 5lbs
7oz. As a complete bass with MIM neck and tuners, it
was just over 8lbs and well-balanced. My aging body
is a wreck due to previous injuries and this stuff really
    matters to me.

So, it's a very light and resonant body. I'd been missing
my old Lakland Jerry Scheff and was in a lipstick tube
frame of mind, so I decided to use them in this bass. Please
note that these pickups are just a tad larger than standard
J pickups and I had to enlarge the route for the bridge
pickup as a result. As you can see, the front pickup had no
such problem because of the way the body is routed from the factory. Because of this I decided it was best to sell the
    body as "loaded".

I gigged this bass a lot. It's got a few clunks here and there and I tried to get them in the images. Enjoy as is
(the Orange is really pretty, particularly with the pearl
pickguard) - or refin in the color of your choice. Can't go
    wrong either way.

Includes everything you see here - Fender threaded bridge, pearl pickguard, etc. All wiring is properly grounded and

You can see what I paid for the body. Please note that on top of that, the pickups are $75/each. All the rest of the stuff, you know what it costs, yada yada. I'm thinking
    $250 shipped and Paypal'd - please no trades, I've got enough stuff already! :}

Nice and tempting. Are the lipsticks purely cosmetic covers on normal J pups or do they have that traditional lipstick sound?
