Hey guys do you have any tips on how to lock in with your drummer? I only done it one and I realized why they called it locking in with the drummer. my timing was perfect but I ive only been able to lock in with my drummer once. How can I improve this?

You can practice with a metronome on your own. That will help your timing.

Listen to the bass drum. That is the first thing you need to be able to lock into. Try to always play a note at the exact time the bass drum hits.

When you get good at that, you can start working more off of the snare and high hat, etc., but your first focus should be getting as tight as possible with the bass drum.
